Topic: HWP cannister loose (2 msgs / 40 lines)
1) From: Jack Berry
My HWP canister has become loose over time, six
months. I don't feel any air blowing out around the
joint where the glass canister locks onto the base. I
do notice a drop in bean agitation. Agitation has
decreased to the point that I must now rock the
roaster to prevent beans from becoming orphaned at the
outer edge.
When new the fit was tight enough that I felt secure
in moving the roaster just by the handle. Now it's so
loose I can't touch the handle without moving the
canister.
Is this common for HWP machines?

I looked at how that's held on, and it seems to depend on the three
screws visible when you turn the roasting chamber upside down. Are
any of those loose? If they got loose enough, I suppose that the
large red o-ring around the outside could come out of place, and that
would also affect things, since it appears to be the spring against
which the clamp works. Hope this helps.
