I didn't walk out in the T-Storm to my work shop, but I used to roast 85
grams consistantly in my FR+ And I've run a lot of 113CC loads (that wa=
s
one old FR cup and one new FR+ cup) with excellent results.

The original intent was that I roasted the prescribed batch all the way
through first crack and then some, timed the process so I could detail a
successful roast for Linda to try. Until now it sounded like she wasn't
having much success, and I hoped for a confidence builder that was as simple
as I could describe.
The extra coffee would shorten the roast time and if the FR+ doesn't have the
Campbell's soup modification, would probably get stuck in the top and really
confuse the issue. After a few good roasts and a dose of self confidence,
throwing in some variables and moving on should be a lot easier to deal with.
I also normally roast larger batches when I use my FR+, but most of the time
I roast in either a Hearthware or my old Unimax that is still hanging in
there.
I am way intrigued with the HotTop and have thoroughly enjoyed and savored
your experiences and modifications. That just happens to be the item on this
years Christmas list if it is out in time and you and others still give
mostly favorable reports.

Waiting to see if Edouard will try to turn around and bring excitement our
way.
