The FR which I got for [actually] $56.50 with coffee
about a month ago can still be had at
www.coffeebeancorral.com. It was a great starter,
although a side by side comparison with beans from
them and Sweet Maria's - Tom and Maria's beans seem to
be a better grade.

Dan,
Actually I should have qualified what "fast as hell"
meant. It (the DeLonghi), is more appropriately termed
"more efficient". The burrs are conical rather than
flat which, although not confirmed on the Braun is
probably the case. The motors seem to run at the same
speed, although the burrs on the DeLonghi are very
sharp.
BTW, with the Braun, cleaning the "throat" is a
fairly simple task, but one that seems to need to be
done weekly - when you lift the bean hopper off (it
seems to snap into place) the scoop provided has a
scraping tool at the other end to not only remove
buildup in the throat, but also grounds from the
discharge chute.
