Topic: OT Waring Blender (38 lines)
1) From: rev mark gilstrap
I can't find the original post, but I would like to thank
whomever alerted us to the availabilty of a mid-range
Waring blender (with commercial motor) at a close-out
price.
Yesterday I received the one I ordered Tuesday and after
a brief argument with my son in which he said I wasted my
money since he had a $40 blender I could have used... I
demonstrated what the blender does to a double handful of
ice cubes in 2 seconds and he is now convinced that maybe
I am not such a dummy. That alone was worth the price.
Seehttp://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGEOFRAME&PROD_IDH241They also have a very similar looking model for $20 less,
but its motor is not in the same class.
I have been looking for a good and affordable blender for years.
My wife works at WalMart so we have tried everything likely
which they sell, and returned them all. I have only a couple of
days experience with this one, but WOW! If it holds up, I think
this will prove to be a huge bargain.
Now I can finally try using some of that Carrageeenan from Riley's.
Any recipes?
I bought my Krups Gusto and several other things from Overstock.
I am quite pleased with them.
