Topic: Tamping pressure (15 lines)

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
Since becoming a list member (a few weeks) my coffee has markedly =
improved with tamping giving by far the best improvement. Someone =
suggested using scales to test your tamping pressure. It works, my  =
rusting 40 year old Borg-Erickson bathroom scales don't look too flash =
sitting on the new kitchen bench and I doubt they will be allowed to =
stay, but two stone seems to produce great espresso and crema. So if =
anyone asks I can say the correct pressure with my Gaggia grind is two =
stone.( 28lb or in our money nearly 13 kilo).Thank you for the list I am =
enjoying the good natured banter and solid advice. Obviously many of you =
have become good friends through the list, may it continue.
