Topic: 12 step programs for drinkers of bad coffee :-) (15 msgs / 253 lines)
1) From: Kevin DuPre
With all due respect to anyone who has gone through a
12 step program and no offense intended...
This is starting to sound like admissions of Bad
Coffee Drinkers Anonymous :-) First Yuban and now
Folgers. What next?
I find it rather amusing given how serious (myself
included) people on this list are about their coffee.
BTW, my name is Kevin and I haven't touched a bad cup
of coffee in at least 7 years (unless of course you
count Starbucks, but that was only out of desperation
because there was nothing better at the time) :-)

Hi - my name is John and I've drunk the worst coffee on earth at church
meetings! But I've been clean now for almost 3 years! ;O) I can't find
it - but Mike had posted a CSA 12 step program a bunch of months back.
And maybe if we ask he'll do it again.
MIKE please DO IT!!

Shame on you! You (a retired minister) haven't been to church in 3
years? Tsk, tsk.

Oh no, I wouldn't miss church for anything now - now I get to sit in the
congregation, complain about the temperature, talk to my neighbors and
jump right on any sermon point that I felt was weak :O)
Actually for the record, When I hug my pastor on the way out if is heart
felt and he knows it. I was blessed a couple of times with retired
pastors in my church and its VERY nice to have them.
I have a couple of teeth with caps on them - and I'm sure its from
drinking Folgers from those cauldrons with the black insides they call
coffee pots. I DO NOT drink the coffee at our present church :O)

What?? You don't complain about the singing/music too! ;)

You don't have to worry about who's turn it is to play the special music
- and it happens to be the same as the anthem :O) No, our music is so
moving, and our worship leader being a former Mr. America for his home
state, we get very few complaints.:O) - BUFF UP MAN!!

I used to get my coffee mail order, at work, and I bought my own coffee
maker with a thermal carafe. I bought spring water and brought it in.
WTF is this Yuban/Folgers/Dreck talk? They tried to upgrade the coffee by
getting the Green Mountain fresh made little cups machine, which was better
than the stale robusto that it replaced. I still used my own.

But doesn't that eliminate all criteria? I mean, you've got to have
some rules. Suppose, for example, they say they've had everything and
prefer Folgers Instant? Can they still be a CSAer?

Dave, CSA member:
My humblest apologies proffered. I did make a most inappropriate
assumption and beg forgiveness. (I'm not normally so easily brought
to contrition, but the spectre of being flogged, or even being in such
close proximity to, a Folgers bag, was more than I could stand...)
