Topic: A Dave Huddle Tradition (5 msgs / 91 lines)
1) From: jim gundlach
I am the beneficiary of Dave Hudddle’s offer of a vacuum pot gasket. =
He
had it. It would not work for him so he offered it to someone on the
list for postage. I e-mailed first so I got it. He will ship it and
when I get it I will send him the postage. To make it a tradition, I
have a new outside burr for the Solis 166, I think it is the same as for =
the 177 and the Mastero (sp?). I paid $25.00 for it and it did not fix =
my grinder so I ordered a Rocky.
I am offering the new burr to the first person on the list to e-mail
me. They must agree to the same arrangement plus agree to keep it
going. That is, agree to pay me the price for shipping after you get it =
and offer something else coffee related to the list. Just offer it to =
the first taker on the list who agrees to pay shipping and agrees to
offer something else to the list under the same conditions.

2) From: Mike McGinness
The tradition continues. I was the first to contact Jim for the Solis upper
burr. Figured a spare would be good to have for my Maestro. (While
continuing to eye the Mazzer Mini, Christmas maybe...)
I have two nice 2.5oz Stainless Steel Italian Made Espresso cups I never
use. They're straight sided with gold-toned 'wire' looping handles. They
really are nice, no saucers. (Since I got the heavy crystal demitasse cups
off eBay I can't get passed pulling shots into them and watching the crema
form! It's beeeaaauuutttiiifffuuulll;-) They go to the first to contact me
off list. Their yours for the same agreement. I'll send 'em to you, you then
send me the $ to cover the shipping and offer something to the list under
the same conditions.

My own fault - I meant to send directly to Mike, somehow sent to
the list (a lot of that going around lately :) and the email took two
days to bubble up (sent it Friday night). Just as well - I don't even
use the espresso cups I have (no, those are not sour grapes... ;)
