This is quite late. Sometime ago I posted about changing the gasket on =
the SL-90 and someone else asked about the directions. I never got
around to writing the reader's digest version but I was just cleaning
clutter off my hard drive and I found the original document so I am
posting the directions below:
Directions to change gasket for Crema Machine
Tools:   2 mm  Allen wrench
               #1 Phillip  screw =
driver
                8mm  socket

 Step 1.    Unplug Machine!!!

Step 2.    Take out the Screw from the top back of the =
machine,  right
where the top of the water tank sits.

Step 3.    With the front machine resting against your chest, =
so the
face plate does not "pop" out.  Now pushing from the back -top of the =
machine (cup warmer),  Towards the front,  slide the top off. just =
let
it dangle won't hurt it.  Also: for SL 90 take the face plate off;  =
for
SL 70 let face plate dangle,  try not take any wires off.

Step 4.   Take off the steam wand guard off (has two little =
Phillips
screws) .  take off wand.  Now take off steam knob using the Allen =
wrench,  the knob screw out clockwise.   take the black collar =
too.
(Note the position of this collar for replacing later - note added by
gundlach)

Step 5.   There are 4 screw that need to be taken off.  Two are =
in the
front on either side,  there is one screw right under where the knob =
was.   The other is directly across from it,  it is on the =
aluminum.
All the screws are about 1/4 inch diameter.  After you have these =
Screw
removed the plastic cover (with the built in tamper)  will come off =
the
bottom and expose some bolts, located around the portafilter holder.

Step 6.  Using the 8mm socket take off the nuts that are around =
the
"group head" (where the coffee comes out).  Now the boiler will lift =
out,  There is another set of nuts,  take them out (Note which ones =
you took off first and last,  they are different sizes.)

Step 7.  Now take off the aluminum portafilter holder that is on =
the
Boiler.   The gasket will now be exposed.  Take it off the boiler =
and
put the new one on.

Step 8.   Now do these directions backwards putting everything back =
together.

Thanks Jim, this will go into my permanent archive. Hopefully, it will be
awhile, but I think I could manage all this. If not, I can always send the
machine to them as a kit. [grin]
