When I make cappuccinos (usually in the winter), I steam the milk
directly in my large mug, and pour in the espresso, creating a large
gaping brown hole. I then put two drips side-by-side above the hole,
and touch the rim of the small espresso pitcher twice to the foam
above the drips. The resulting "monster face" is much more impressive
to my kids, who watch for it every day, than hearts or rosettes would
be, and a lot easier to make. --PR
(PS I agree with Lubos -- the quality of information on this list is
higher than alt.coffee, and I appreciate all of it, even the parts
that pertain to things I never do.)
