Rick, thank you for reminding us that you "have a Thermopen, but it's the
worlds worst coffee roasting thermometer."
Now I remember reading you interesting words on the Thermopen some time ago.
I realized that I have misspelled the Thermopen; thanks for indirectly
telling me!
I also realized that I badly need some good system to help me remember "what
I read about what". Either on a PC, or on a PDA, preferably both. Any
recommendations?
On a similar but different subject, recently I read about computer program
called MindManager that claims it can organize anyone's thinking on almost
any topic into a compelling, visual "mind map" on the computer screen.
MindManager's so-called mind maps are special documents that look like
spider webs. The central idea or project title is at the center, and a
series of branches radiate outward to represent subtopics.
As you build the map, fine-tuning your ideas, you add branches, and all the
branches, in turn, sprout subnetworks of lesser branches. The branches are
labeled with text and graphics, and can be linked or related to one another.
Mindjet calls this visual thinking.
Anybody has used that approach for organizing thoughts and experiences with
differently roasted coffees, different coffees, blends, etc? For creating
ideas about future roastings and blends?
Any experiences or thoughts on MindManager as a tool for home roasting --
and as a tool to organize thinking?
Regards, Lubos
