We prefer Americano or Cafe' Cremas so much more than French Press or Vac
(won't even bring drip into the equation:-) that I'm looking into getting a
Moka Pot before we leave for Kona. Won't be the same as pulling from Miss
Silvia but I understand Moka Pot brew kind of half way between espresso and
'coffee strength. Taking Miss Silvia would add just too much weight for the
return flight (gotta leave weight room for greens;-) Trying to decide
between Stainless Steel stovetop or Velox electric. Stovetop would be no
problem this trip but some vacationing rooms don't have kitchens... good
looking SS now electric later when needed! I really should have a nice Moka
Pot in my arsenal anyway;-)
MM;-)

I sure wish there was a way to travel and drink cafe cremas now
that I'm spoiled rotton with them. It may be my second hand Moka
Pot, but although I'm carefull with the heating of it, the brew
always tastes a little burned. Strong, and heavier than drip or
press pot. Easy to travel with.Maybe I just need a nice new one.
Anyone else get burnt tasting coffee from Moka Pots?
