I went shopping for a wine rack yesterday and one of the places I looked was
in 'Beans about Cooking', and small store in an upscale corner shopping
center. I knew right away that this was the place because, like fine wine,
they had jar after jar of coffee beans aging on the shelves. Lots of oil on
most of the beans. Good selection including a Mocca-butterscotch-pecan that
sounded interesting. Grinding on site was free. I thought about MM when I saw
they offered a Hawaiian Kona Extra Fancy for only $38.00/lb. They obviously
were on top of the coffee thing since the Kona was from Hawaii.
The most shocking part of the experience was when the one gal at the serving
and check-out counter said that she didn't drink coffee. I would have never
guessed.-)
I know it's OT, but I couldn't resist sharing.

Wow. Sounds great! Did they have anything from pre-war Indonesia?
