How fast can you say "MacCappucinno"? How fast can you drink it? Better
yet, how fast can you dump it? The world is coming to an end ...

Brazilian rainforest milk to go with Vietnamese Robosta shots?
I heard from a friend that McCappuccino is not quite as bad as the
regular McCoffee, though he still was unimpressed. After a few sips, it
was a long time before he could say anything about it besides "it's been
sweetened".

I just can't get the picture of an acne faced kid asking "you want fries
with that?"

LOL! Honest to God, I was once asked in a McDs if I wanted salt or ketchup
with the solitary coffee I ordered!

And the irony is that either of them would probably have improved
it. ;>)

Around here, some sort of espresso-like substance is sold in every gas station convenience store. There is one on just about every block and they are all horrid. How much worse can McCappuccino be?

Andrew - that stuff is worse than anything I've tried anywhere. I had ONE
cup and swore that I'd never get that desperate for something hot to drink.
I know folks that actually plan on stopping for those things! How tragic!

I will not try one, no will I buy BP gas!

Ok, speaking of being desperate, the other day I was desperate for something hot and I went to a CC's coffee around the corner and ordered an Americano. The guy behind the counter (not a barista) went to the espresso machine put a cup under the spout and pushed a button. Out came some black stuff into the cup. He turned around and added hot water from the coffee machine. Ummmm.... well like I said I was desperate for something hot and the Maxwell house brewed here in the office just would not cut it.
It was weird, the guy never touched a thing except my cup and a button. I have never seen a machine like this. It ground the coffee and some how put it into the filter, I assume it tamped it and then ran some hot water through it. I wonder if this is what McD is going to use?

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
I was speaking with a barista at $'s the other week and she said it was
totally automatic. They don't tamp or anything. I also spoke to the
people at Greenberry's (an east coast chain that just opened a store
here) and they aren't so automatic. The barista still has to tamp, etc.
So I guess there are new "fully automatic" machines for the commercial
market.
