Topic: 'Big Mama' Air Roaster Project (24 lines)
1) From: Ed Needham
I had the day off yesterday, and got to work quite a bit on my large capacity
air roaster project. I got quite a bit done on the roast chamber, but I
also wanted to post a few pics to show the heat chamber too.
The roast chamber is cylindrical, and 6 3/8" in diameter. It has a slanted
roasting floor at 35 degrees off of horizontal. I put the perforated
stainless across the whole base, but I will use a stainless sheet to cover
all but about a third of it. That way I'll be able to use different opening
sizes until I hit on the one that gives me the best roast. I can also make
them removable to provide another roast variable. I posted a few pics of the
roaster, in it's construction phase athttp://www.homeroaster.com/bigmama.html. Someday I may even finish it.
