I was going to install a switch to turn off the heater and let the fan run
on my Poppery 2.
I did not write down all of my connections as I took it apart. (Appeared too
simple to screw up)
I was set to switch the white wires but then woke up to realize that the
heater has 3 wires rather than 2. My thoughts is that it is designed not to
turn on unless the fan is running or has a thermo cut off at a certain temp?
(makes since from a safety standpoint.) My plan was to switch either of
heater or the fan on and off to control the temp.
I now want to simply cut off the heater and allow the fan to run but am not
sure of the wiring combination to get it back to normal.
Any suggestions or a quickie diagram would be appreciated.
As it sits. Red and white wire off of fan. Diodes in such an array as to
appear to be converting to DC??? Red/black/and white wires coming out of
heater. Non grounded 2 wire in from wall.
Please note: work is being done in the shop on seperate set of breakers.
will not be coming back into house till fully tested.
