I was pretty amazed at this price. I paid about $12.50 for mine on ebay.
Ebay is a funny beast, it only takes one person who _really_ wants an item
and it can fetch way more that what it's "worth".

 >> BTW: has anyone followed the WB Poppery (series1) on Ebay it is at $40
with a $10 S&H. with 4+days left. Is this a strange price or do they go for
that much?

If that keeps up, I can sell my stock of Popperys and go buy an Alp or Hottop.

So could I, but I don't want to! I like the idea of a cheap recycled roaster.

Me too! I also like the idea of modifying an old consumer item to
turbocharge it into working better than ever, for a different purpose. What
we do is kind of like how guys in the 1950's took tired old '30's coupes and
turned them into street rods.

Me too. I'll add that my Pumper does a really nice roast profile - about 6-1/2 minutes to first crack, then second at about 8 minutes. I can vary the time a bit either way by changing the bean load, but 3/4 to 1 cup works very well. Two roasts in the Pumper gives me about 4 days of coffee, twice what my Poppery II can do.

That's about what I paid for my WBII. I was at $2 but someone came in
at the last minute so the final price was about $12.
