NOticed one of the Hot Top roasters on ebay also.
I won't bid on this one either.

His final bid on the HotTop is exactly what he paid for it - so he's not
out to make a profit. Capster is a member of the hottop list and has
posted pictures of his San Fransisco roaster - BIG but gorgeous machine.
If I thought I could get away with it, I might just pick it up for a
back up to mine. Or to use for parts on a home grown computerized
version :))

I'm not sure what the big deal would be if he *did* make a big profit and
was hoping for it.
That's what eBay is for after all, sellers looking for buyers who might
just pay a premium price for something.

That wasn't my point. The preceeding dialog left me with the feeling
that folks thought the price a bit high (followed by "I'm not bidding")
Owning one, like you, I knew what we paid and just wanted to smooth the
waters. The bid price will turn out to be a real bargain if folks have
to buy them from Taiwan or England and pay the individual shipping.
