The cord is in the same (dumb) position as the doser Rocky. The switch on
the side is new. If I'm not mistaken from the pic there's a switch front
left too, the posititon of the switch on the doser model.

this...
I posted same original message there too:-)
Rocky was all vacuumed out and ready to send back for the doserless (when it
makes it to the US). After seeing the pic (thanks) of the doserless, and
'listening' to the discussions pro & con, here and on a.c, Rocky didn't go
in it's box. Looks like I'd end up hacking the doserless anyway. Why wait,
hack now! So the PF holder came off and I taped the doser vanes. Sweeps
great. I left the plate on, think I may add tape to sweep it too, or remove
it. And yes, the chute is much easier to clear than it appears it'll be with
the doserless, main reason for changing my mind. I can always put it back
the way it was in the next couple weeks if I change my mind again and return
it:-)
Hey Mazzer Mini owners, how is your chute grind hang? From what I've read
not as much as Rocky. Anyone compared both? But the size. MM so darned big.
(it's power cord is in a dumb place too so won't go there) I'll keep driving
myself nuts for another week or so before I finally decide to decide to keep
Rocky or go for MM instead...

Geez, it wasn't me! It wasn't really me! Must have been someone else.
Re-readin' it now I seez yur meanin'. Just see what a state of confusion
this grinder dilema has me in:-)
Reality check! I'm too d#%$m picky. Problem is I've grown accustomed to the
ergonomically great Maestro, unfortunately with lousy grind. There just
doesn't seem to be a great grinding grinder that matches the ease of use of
the Maestro. At least for my style of grinding, naming individual dose/brew
grind of different bean each time. Sure, the Maestro had a very slight chute
grind hang. But it was very easily dislodged by tapping the Maestro on the
counter while slightly tipping it forward and briefly pulsing the empty
grinder. Virtually 100% grind clear. Not quite possible with the likes of
Rocky! (or I highly suspect not possible with Mini either) But in reality
it's not that big a deal to clear Rocky's chute. And the tape mod makes for
an almost perfectly clean doser sweep. (I used duct tape on all 6 blades,
folded under per instructions on Randy G's site.)

(Ed, who sometimes sees his friends eyes glaze over when just talking about
arabica or robusta, or the differences between Hue Hue or Antigua). God help
them if I get into PIDded boilers or roast profiles. They circle their
fingers around their ears as their eyes roll back into their heads.
