Topic: Rotisserie coffee roaster ? (2 msgs / 52 lines)

Has anyone noticed the George Forman rotisseries? The two larger sizes come
with a stainless steel mesh cylinder that would be nearly perfect for coffee
roasting. In fact, the thing is practically a pre-made rotisserie roaster.
At least, it would be if it were hot enough. My wife says it's good for 350
degrees tops, but it wouldn't surprise me if one could outfit it with more
powerful heating elements, or maybe an extra element. Good possibilities
for electronic profile controls, too, for them as have the technical skills.
Or not. I don't have the technical skills to know, myself. But it sure
does look good.

Looked at them and their ilk but lots of reasons why these things aren't
being used as roasters. Check out gas grills-am building one now-they come
in all sizes and prices-gives u total control for nice long roasts which
delivers a mellow smooth drink-am tired of too bright HWP roasts.
