Topic: Resistors and Coffee Pucks--Really 9 bars? (long and (19 lines)
1) From: Greg Scace
Okay all you wise asses. It logically follows that the power produced by
one double shot is (2.5 oz/25 seconds)^2 times 9 bars of pressure. Getting
the units to be all SI units gives us 2.5 oz equal to 0.00007 m^3. The
squared term has units of m^6 / s^2. 9 bars is 900000 Pascal, or 900000
N/m^2 or kg per meter second.
1 espresso power unit is equal to 7.056 kg*m^5/s^3.
As a name for this power unit, I suggest Argh, or Barf.
