Topic: Airport coffee (2 msgs / 49 lines)

Last weekend my wife and I flew to Indiana for a long weekend and my mother's
85th birthday. While waiting in the Indianapolis airport, I decided to grab a
cup of coffee at a specialty coffee stand after passing on the $bucks. In
between the lattes, cappas and fancy coffee flavored drinks I ordered a
medium cup of the house blend of the day coffee (I had a feeling s o m e o n
e would want to know the size). Upon accepting the cup from the somewhat
snooty barista, I casually asked what the house blend of the day was. "Why,
that is our Broadway Blend" was a very proud answer with a smile. "Um, could
you please tell me what coffee is in your Broadway Blend" I asked as I
dangled the hook in front of his nose. "Well....Uh.... I really don't know
but IT IS OUR BROADWAY BLEND" he said with a bigger smile. At least Mr.
Wiseguy knew that it was coffee and never felt the hook.
To my pleasant surprise, the coffee was actually pretty good or I was really
desperate. Now, is there anyone out there who knows the secret recipe for
Broadway Blend? Just kidding about the recipe of course.

If it was in the Food Court and not down a concourse, it was probably =
"au bon pain." I have no idea what the blend might be, but likely =
roasted in Indy. Dan
