Topic: FRESH ROAST HELP (5 msgs / 100 lines)
1) From: Dennis Rogers
Hi everyone,
Major lurker here who now seems to have a major problem.
The heating element in my Fresh Roast Plus, which I bought in April
last year, keeps turning off intermittently during the roast. It turns
off about every 60 to 90 seconds and stays off for a good 15 to 20
seconds before turning on again.
Has anyone had this problem before? Or should I just contact someone
with the manufacturer?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, especially since I have a
number of coffee orders to do and have just ruined two consecutive
batches. This is not good!
Thank you!

The FRs have a safety thermostat. My FR+ one never
goes off, but my original FR one did when I tried
to use it with too much weight. It could be that
you have high voltage, are using a large bean
load, or that the stat is a bit low. You can talk
to Tim of Freshbeans about this and see if there's
a quick fix. The number is 888.757.2326

Thanks Jim,
I will lessen the weight a bit, clean out the top screen to make sure
there is less resistance to air flow, and if that doesn't work, I'll
give Tim a call.
Thank you.
