Topic: gold filter for Bunn B-10 (6 msgs / 163 lines)
1) From: Spencer W. Thomas
We've got a Bunn Pour-O-Matic (:-) B-10 coffee maker. I'd like to get a
gold filter for it. Tom has several, and I'm not sure which is the best
fit. From the measurements he lists
http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.swissgold.shtml),I want either the
KF-12 or the KF-20. The KF-12 would definitely fit, but seems like it
would be a little loose. The KF-20 might be the right one, or might be
a little bit too big.
The Swissgold website is no help at all
http://www.swissgoldusa.com/overview1.htm),since it just says things
like "Bunn Home Unit" and "Bunn Commercial Style", with several
differently sized and shaped filters under each heading.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Spencer,
If you will measure the diameter and depth of the basket, I'm sure
Tom or Maria would let you know if any they have would fit.

Well, my problem is that I did measure. And if Tom's measurements are
precise (which he says they're not) and if my measurements are precise
(not likely), the KF-20 is a snug fit. It's that "if" that's bugging me.
I'd prefer to use the KF-20, since I've already had one "overflow"
situation using the paper filters and newly roasted coffee. But I'd
much prefer to use a filter that actually fits the coffee maker! :-)

Spencer,
When you get it figured out, post the results! I use a Bunn also.

I use a Melitta #6 on top of my Bunn carafe. Works and fits perfectly. No
overflow, and great cone taste. You get the added benefit of using the
higher quality Melitta filters too.http://www.homeroaster.com/setup.htmlI've heard that newer Bunns have a different carafe though that doesn't fit
the cone, but the old ones abound in thrift stores.

So I ordered the KF-20. Turns out the KF-12 is not stocked, even though
it's in the size chart at the bottom of the page. Fits perfectly!
