Rarely have I seen anything as rude as these three complaints, especially
from someone who originally willingly joined.

Interesting, the list has been sent to purgatory. Hmmm, plenty of heat to
roast the greens!
BTW, lists don't take people off lists, people do:) Take yourself off the

Ah yes, another bright bulb shines among us. cs.com eh? Hmm, yes .....
Well Smtty201 ... let me spell out the directions you seem to be unable
to find yourself (quote fromhttp://www.sweetmarias.com/maillistinfo.html#maillist.README):"To unsubscribe via e-mail, send an e-mail to

In other words, NO ONE who received your annoying message is able to
take you off the DAMN list. Got it?

I filed a complaint about his obnoxious behavior with his ISP. Hope it
is his employer.

Perhaps someone can email him a flaming sack of dog poo and ring his
doorbell? Hmmm, that or kopi luwak...no, don't waste good coffee on him.
Anyone got a sack and a scooper? :)

Actually maybe a sort of combination of the two ... kopi Fido anyone?
Kopi opossum perhaps? How about some nice Kopi pigeon?

While I certainly don't condone obnoxious posts, perhaps I understand the
poster's frustration. I have tried twice in the past to unsubscribe to the
list without success. A third time I tried to unsubscribe and then
subscribe to the digest, again unsuccesfully.
In all three cases, I followed published instructions to the 't'.(While I do
enjoy this list, sometimes the email is more than I have time to read, which
is why I tried to temporarily unsubscribe - I've now given up).
Also I find it very odd that some posts come through almost instaneously
while others take hours to show up. It's pretty weird when somebody's reply
shows up before the post they are replying to. At other times posts I make
never show up.
Anybody have similar experiences?
John
P.S. For the record I'm sending this post at 3:29pm CST , 30-Jan-03

I have a similar experience to John as far as my messages hitting the list
well after I've sent them. I once wrote several messages over a 24 hr or so
period and they didn't come out until the day after... all at once.
In fact, I've never had a message hit the list on the same day I sent it.
It's exactly for this reason I don't contribute as much as I'd like. The
conversation is either past or it's changed before I can chime in.
It's now Thursday evening, 9:44 Pacific time.
As far as to the original poster, I imagine he checks his email once every
other month with a 28k modem. I think I'd be upset too ;)
Jeff
