Just *threw* some quick pics up. No text yet. Now to get ready to leave for
a 4 day weekend at the Coast. I'll take pics roasting there. This puppy is
way cool!

construction. A replacement is on it's way... doesn't effect

Excellent!! You may have missed your calling - that wiring looks way far
too neat. So when do you go into production :O)
Enjoy your trip to the coast.

Thanks. I'd have to charge about as much as a HotTop! Mucho labor, plus a
couple or three hundred in parts, haven't added up the cost in all honesty.
Best price I could find on a new digital AC true RMS panel meter $185 (I
paid $75 for used Yokogawa eBay) Of course, could use a good 1v increment
analog meter like Simpson for around $30... The one thing I didn't think of
'till this morning was a digital timer to time the roasts. Still have to use
my watch chrono. Hmmm, I'll look into adding one later...
Now I'd really best hit the shower and start getting it together to get out
of here!

Nice job!
I'm getting in a second, small variac today. I
intend to do some taste tests to see whether
there'sany difference to identical temperature
profile roasts with different airflows. Then I'll
know whether I got my money's worth; or whether I
should take you to miniscule claims court for
egging me on ;)

Wow, you have been busy! Nice job, it's hard to believe it got done in such
a short time. Might be difficult to pack to Hawaii, that may just raise some
eyebrows at the airport.
By the way, where's the Jacob's ladder? This setup *needs* a Jacob's ladder
somewhere. (roast, darn you, roooooast!!)

Do you , like, need an FAA license to fly that thing?
I 'must' put a link to that page on my web site. Are you planning on adding
some text descriptions to the photos explaining what it does?
Incredible job Mike!

That was just a quick throw together to get some picks up. Yes, I'll be adding text explanations etc
later but will leave the URL the same so post whenever. MM:-)

There is nothing in your application that needs "true RMS," Mike. The only
time that "true RMS" comes into play is when you're dealing with
non-sinusoidal waveforms with a high crest factor.
Save yourself some money, next time.

Jeezus, Mike, toggle switches and LEDs. That is so sexy. That's why I got
into the electronics business, was for the flashing lights and panel meters.
What do the LEDs indicate? It's cool if they're just for decoration. :-)

I build how you want, I'll build how I want - top end all the way. BTW, I DID save money spending
$70ish on a Yokogawa used (as previously stated). MM

Full description will be added to the html page later. Yes, the lights all have different function.
Center green is Master power on, first amber to right power to fan plug, second amber outside right
indicates fan controlled by timer switch, first red to right of green heater power on, second heater
timer. Not necessary to have, but way cool and great quick indicator of switch state.
