Topic: Replacement Glass Container For A Sirocco Roaster? (3 msgs / 87 lines)
1) From: Bob Yellin
Hi Folks,
I'm new to this list but not to home roasting. That's been a love affair
for many years...
I've been using a Sirocco roaster since the mid-80's and its still
going strong and producing great roasts a couple of times a week. It
was made in Germany by Seimens, I believe, and marketed here by
Sirocco in Houston, TX but they went out of business sometime in the
late 80's or early 90's. It's somewhat similar to the Hearthware
roaster.
I bought a spare glass container at the time and just this week I
broke the original container and am now using the spare. If it breaks,
it's new roaster time - not that that would be so terrible but it's a
great little roaster, we're old friends and know each other real well,
and I'd like to keep it going. So I was wondering if anyone knows
where I can find another spare container. It's the glass globe that
sits on top of the heating unit. Anyone have any ideas or leads?
I'm posting this on alt.c as well.
Thanks much in advance.

If you find more than one let me know . . . I broke the one on my Sirocco just
last year. I saw one (the whole roaster, that is) one e-bay a few months ago .
.. . almost bought it just for the glass . . .
