Ok, I admit it, *I* get whiney in bad
weather and I was assuming that cows think
like I do :)
I read somewhere that Gurnsey milk makes the
most foam by a wide margin. Next closest
is the Brown Swiss.
Seems like someone needs to buy a Gurnsey
and invite us over for a milking and cap
party!

I too bought some milk from walmart approximately 3 weeks ago.
Milk was in date. Did not taste like spoiled milk, tasted more like
plastic. I through both gallons out it was that bad tasting. Won't be
purchasing milk from them anymore.

Oh yeah, the door is a bad place unless you go through it really quite
fast. The coldest part of your fridge is best. The coldest part
varies a bit depending on the fridge, but it's usually in the back.

The funny thing is, the opening side of door of my fridge is really
cold, since there are little cold-air vents along that side of the
compartment. If I put milk in the door and all the way at the edge of
the shelf, it will freeze in spots.

I have a special compartment in the door of my fridge with a cover. It's
specifically for milk and other dairy. It has cold air vents which route
through it so it's the coldest spot in my fridge.

The cold air vents into a special purpose milk compartment sound like a cool
feature Gary. What make of refrigerator is it?
Ken

9) From: Ben Lowery
Yeah, that is a nice feature! In most fridges, the door temps
fluctuate quite a bit, but that's a smart design.
Except for the one that freezes the milk.. :)

It's a maytag. Stainless steel, has the freezer drawer (not a door)
on the bottom and two side by side doors for the refrigeration
compartment. In door ice dispenser, 25 cubic feet. Adjustable
shelves, etc. It's pretty fancy schmancy.
