Just finished roasting coffees for this weekend. Decided to Kurb my Kona
Kravings and roast just other Koffees. (I usually have two Konas roasted to
go with 2 or 3 others)
Decided to roast my last batch of ISH Alexander Estate. Hmm, what would be a
suitable differnet cup. Roasted a batch of JBM MB. Oh yeah, just got some
stuff labeled "Hand Washed Alta Pluma 2003 Nuevo Siglo Cooperative Union De
Guerrero Oaxaca, Mexico" (not from SM, Oaxaca Charlie of course:-), figured
it should be good to compare since Tom has sometimes found Mex' he thinks
"kicks JBM butt" (though I don't necessarily agree.) Three 1/3# batches
oughta be good for the weekend. Still have some Sumatra lot4009, Australian
Skybury & Kona Mountain from 4 days ago roasting for tomorrow and maybe
Saturday morning.
But wait! I risk incurring the wrath of Madam Pele' the Volcano Fire
Goddess! So broke down and roasted a fourth batch, Wood's Estate 02/03
Kona... I just can't help myself. It didn't help I was drinking an mixed
Americano of Wood's last of roast batch 00/01 & Kona Mountain 02/03 while
roasting. Man did that cup sing! I admit it, I'm a Kona junKie.
It'll be a *rough* coffee weekend:-) (Unless my pager is not nice and I'm
not around, start 24x7 standby tomorrow night...:-(
I roasted them all the same HJT profile 440 11min from 230...
Acronym key:
ISH = Island of St. Helena
JBM MB = Jamaica Blue Mountain Mavis Banks Co-op
SM = Sweet Maria's of course!
MM;-)
FrankenFormer Rosto Roastin' - Royally Balance Brewin'
