I always get a laugh out of the things people say on their Ebay items.  This
one for instance,  a 12lb Turkish coffee roaster imported by a company that
has been "... importing roasters,espresso machines and related equipment for
over 15 years and believe in the BEST customer support."  Wow that sounds
pretty impressive! (Well, except for the fact that they're importing
roasters form Turkey).  They should know their stuff, one would think!
Here's one outstanding claim they make:
    "We will spend A FULL DAY TRAINING YOU TO BE AN EXPERT ROASTER at our
facility. "
Wow, Really- A full day? :)
How about this:
     "Why would you spend from 6.50 to 12.00 a pound for already roasted
coffee when you can roast your own in your shop for as little as .89
cents a pound for some of highest quality green coffee you can buy! Dont
take my word for it call Royal coffee at 1(800) ..."
I think you can buy robusta from Royal for .89 cents a lb.  You're sure not
going to get any Kenya for that.
The Roasting article in the "Specialty coffee Retailer" was really
interesting.  Some guy named Tom Owen talked with several roasters and what
I found interesting was that almost all of them either owned a Deidrich or
said it would be their next roaster.  I think it was in the April issue,
because it was highlighting the upcoming SCAA show.
