I do a minor clean on the ALP after each use to remove the chaff that
collects in a couple of places. Then, about every 10 roasts, I'll do the
alcohol cleaning of the flapper doors area and other areas where oil has
built up. My main concern is keeping those flapper doors cleaned so they
don't stick closed due to the tacky oil that can build up over time. I have
never cleaned the drum itself other than blowing out the chaff that
sometimes collects inside. The drum seems to be pretty self maintaining.
