Dave,
Your tamper is a 58 mm New Guinea Stripped Ebony base with a Pink Ivory top
and a lignum vitae bottom. I will ditto your remarks.

Sorry Ginny! At the present time there are only two New Guinea Stripped
Ebony tampers in existence. You have one and Dave has the other. I just
couldn't let that shorter piece go to waste! I do have some more wood
curing so there may be some more New Guinea Stripped Ebony tampers done
before Christmas, but I doubt there will ever be more that can be counted on
one hand as it is tough to get in thick enough sizes.

Ginny,
Let me see if I can get a decent digital picture of it and I can email
it to you, off-list. It is quite beautiful, a real work of art, Les
does great work and I enjoyed meeting him and talking about his craft.

Dave thanks, I have three of Les's art pieces that I have recently
purchased. I am taking them to my daughters wedding this weekend in the
Santa Cruz Redwoods. I plan on keeping an eye on them so the family does not
take off with them! I am off tomorrow with Thor Tampers, espresso machine,
Vespa ET4 and other goodies for the wedding. I need to help get the 49
cabins setup, the bathrooms stocked and lord knows what else.
I will send you pics of mine.
