Some time backed someone asked me if I'd heard of any Aged Kona. At that
time my answer was no. It's now yes. I've discovered a farm that routinely
ages their Kona parchment for a year in climate controlled storeroom prior
to milling and roasting. Small 5acre 3000tree 2000' Estate in North Kona
District. I've got 10# 02/03 newcrop and a pound 01/02 crop 1yr parchment
aged coming. A batch of aged is just being milled so David said it'll ship
in a couple days. He said there's one other farm he knows of that ages their
parchment before milling but it's all sold locally. It'll be an interesting
comparison!
BTW, his website doesn't offer greens at the moment, just roasted. He said
he's working on having consumer greens sales added within the next two
weeks, both new crop and aged. Name: Kona Premium Coffee Company.
