I own a broken but still under warranty unit that has never been able to roast past folgers darkness on a cycle. I have had to unplug and quicklyre-plug the unit to get a full city roast out of it. The unit was running one day and all power just stopped in the middle of a cycle. I have left emails on their web site and have gotten no response. Does anyone know where I take or send the unit for warranty repair and do I need to contact them prior toshipping it and if so to whom I speak with?

I just got my broken Alpenrost back today.  It took about two to three 
weeks to fix not including the shipping time.  My unit had exactly the 
same problem you are experiencing.  Mine was also under warranty and 
there was no charge for the repair other than shipping costs to New 
Jersey.  You need to call 905-764-1121 and tell them your problem.  They 
will give you all the info you need to ship the unit back for repairs.
I haven't even plugged it in yet but it looks almost brand new.
