This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
I was just glad I wasn't the only one. I headed straight for the archives
to see when the last post was.

c'mon, no posts in a couple of days?
The list must be down....
Either that, or you're not drinking enough coffee, or are so busy
roasting there's no time for email.
I've recently been playing with a Z&D roaster - makes very nice even
light roasts. I can now do three batches almost at the same time -
Z&D, iRoast, and HG+DB :) (almost, because my iRoasting requires
more supervision, and I can only start the HG once I'm in the cool
cycle on the IR2)

got your post...so its going through.
Personally, I am drinking a fine cup of Kenya AA Nyeri Gachatha roasted to
full city about 3 days ago in the Behmor. It is a strong cup with a classic
coffee and brown sugar taste, interspersed with a fine citrus lace.

It has seemed a bit quiet on the list. Between work, wife, kids, school,
facebook, the list, and of course Family Guy, I get a bit stretched. That,
and I've had one of my main computers down, so been focused on the reformat.

Had Indonesia Flores Manggarai this morning. About 24 hours after a
City+ roast in a P1. AP brewed. Great thick and silky aftertaste. Some
fruit and spice hints as well. Quite nice.

It's been fairly quiet on the forum as well. My guess would be that it's the
end of the school year and the beginning of the summer, and that, as a
result, there's been a minor distortion in the continuum.
Once everyone figures out where the Ethernet jack is in their new camping
tents, we'll be seeing traffic picking up again. :)

Couldn't respond until the double shot of IMV was down the hatch. Ahhh. I
got a Fiver of it last time- not that I'm finishing that or even the roast
on hand... But... Don't bother me when I'm exploring a Gold Mine.
Tempus Fugit- Roasted 19 June, FC+, the IMV is a phenomenon. Even with a
busted Cra-Pesso.
The Capresso still leaks hot water during brew because of its construction
and my error, following the Go Joe cleaning instructions. The 55 w pump
makes excessive pressure, and is only relieved by a fractured valve body,
not at all by the pretend OPV at the pump's output port.
Wonder if Stop Leak would work? The thrill of working on the CraPesso has
passed. Too many tricks to get it apart and back together. The heater, valve
body and group head is a single casting, N/A from the CraPmeisters.
The heater is inadequate to make brewing temperature of water from the
reservoir. It has to be preheated to 119 F (+) in the reservoir tank. Ca=
n't
heat 70 F ambient water to 203F at the brew rate. (a double shot + the
blasted leak = 100cc total in 26 seconds)
With a 110F reservoir, a 93 rise was fine until it hit the iceberg. N=
ow, I
know how they felt on Titanic. A 125 F reservoir jump starts it enough to
get 203 F water out of the brew head on an open flush with the heater in
mid-cycle.
The brew cycle restricts the water flow, so the heater catches up and cycles
off. 119 F water with the right dose, grind and packing tamp = Superla=
tive
Shot. The IMV is worth the MacGuyver scene!
Cheers, Mabuhay -RayO, aka Opa!
