I have at least one winner for a custom made porcelain plate for a bbq
grill to our favorite Ben T. I may well decide to award another if I can
determine if I can make the requested item.
I think one espresso maker is worth two winners.
You are up Ben.

I apologize for the lateness of this tardition award, but I have had a rather unspeakable colonic illness that left me, shall we say, drained. I have only today come back to my computer since last Tuesday. Yeah, rough.
However, the winner of the one pound of SM's Columbian is Stephen Jones. Stephen please send me your email and I will have it off to you directly. - Hunt

On April 27, I announced a tradition offering. I would be giving $30
worth of Sweet Marias gift certificates to the person that made the
closest guess at how much was left in my 5lb bag of Tanzania Peaberry Decaf.
After making that announcement, I dumped the contents of the bag onto my
digital scale. It read 727 grams.
On the evening of April 27, Tom Ogren sent me a guess of 743 grams.
This guess, just 16 grams off, stood as the closest guess until last
night. Tough luck, Tom. Better luck next time.
Last night, the winning entry was received. The guess was 734 grams,
just 7 grams off! Congratulations, Brett Mason! I'll send the gift
certificate numbers by private email to your gmail account.
I'd like to thank everyone who entered for their coffee
recommendations. I ordered several of the suggested coffees, but with
very few duplicate recommendations, I couldn't afford to try them all.
The Harar "Horse" was the most popular coffee recommended by four people.

Oh man...I'm really digging that Sumatra Iskandar! I've got two more pounds
on the way and already regret not having ordered more. I don't think I will
ever tire of the stuff. My very first roast to FC+ had this beautiful,
complex fifteen-minute long aftertaste experience that was like descending
through a conifer forest after the rain...Anyway it's super-clean, smooth a=

silk, and a truly complex cup. When I drink it I feel like a druid.

Hello Folks,
I just wanted to say thanks publicly for Robert's generosity, as well =
as the generosity of the list overall. The Tradition is quite a =
wonderful little tradition, and as someone who has so much to learn, I =
enjoy the expertise and ideas that are so generously shared here more =
than I can tell you.
And as sort of a side note, I shared the idea of The Tradition with my =
kids, ages 10 and 15 (and you can only imagine how excited they are =
that I won!) and they are talking about starting the same thing with =
the friends from their homeschool co-op. They thought it was such a =
great way to share unused toys, clothing, etc. What a great Tradition =
to pass on!
Thanks Folks, and Thank you Robert!
