I will be in these cities on business in the next two weeks. I will be
staying near airports and wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations
on a good coffeehouses.
Thanks in advance

I used to live in the Chicago area and I'm not sure there is much out by
the airport. If you can get into the north side of the city, I can direct
you to the oldest (I think) coffeehouse in the area. Not in a particularly
good part of town these days, but it is a real coffeehouse with live music
and lots of grungy atmosphere.

The No Exit, of course! Just north of Morse ("Morris" if you're from the
area) on the west side of the "L" tracks.

That's news to me. last October I ordered a short pull there and they
pulled about 5 oz. When I reminded them that I had asked for a short pull,
they dumped half of it out and handed it back to me. When I finally got a
short shot (after some pissed off behavior on my part) it was cremaless and
watery. I probably could have done better at the Starbucks there but I
won't give them my business under any circumstances.

www.metromix.com has a lot of information on dining in Chicago, and
you can always get info on the group chi.eats.
We have everything, so you'll have to be a bit more specific!

There is cafe a few blocks from Sweet Marias in Columbus called The Coffee
Table. On 2 separate occassions they served me a double shot of espresso in
a FILLED 15oz mug. Talk about over-pulling your shots.

The only reliable places for good coffee that I am aware of in the
Chicagoland area are Intelligentsia on the north side
(www.intelligentsiacoffee.com)and Casteel in Evanston.
Caffe Italia in Elmwood Park, around 2400 north on Harlem, has also
been recommended for espresso on alt.coffee.http://www.smellthecoffee.com/directory/United_States/Illinois/Chicago/lists a bunch, though.
