Topic: 10,000 free cups of coffee from Pats (2 msgs / 39 lines)
1) From: Robert Hayes
To help keep their fans warm the New England Patriots gave the first 10,000
fans to arrive free cups of coffee and hand warmers. The temperature at
Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA was 3 degrees F with a wind chill of
10 below 0. Does anybody on the Forum know what brand of coffee is served
at the stadium? Are there any stats out there about beverage consumption
at cold
weather events, i.e. beer vs soda vs coffee vs hot chocolate? From the
look of
the scans of well bundled fans there must have been some kind of anti-freeze
in the crowd. Nobody appeared to have left early. Pats 17 Titans 14.

Don't know about New Englanders, Bob, but my Torontonian wife assures me
that one of the pluses of icefishing for Canadians is that you don't have to
do anything special to chill your beer. This apparently makes perfect sense
to Canadians.
